cai guo qiang is a chinese contemporary artist living and working in new york city. his multidisciplinary practice draws on eastern philosophy and contemporary social issues expressed in the form of drawing, installation, video and performance. his work has been exhibited at the metropolitan museum of art and guggenheim museum in new york, the national art museum of china in beijing, and the museum of contemporary art in los angeles.
